Blaze Media Pro Multimedia Software

15 08 2008

It’s been a slow week here. I’ve been busy working building some websites as well as working on some security issues with a few companies that came to me for help.

Mostly I’ve been working with a new program, Blaze Media Pro. This is amazing. Need to convert a movie or sound file from one form to another? This is the software for you. It works as a converter, editor…..this does it all. It’s a powerful all-in-one converter for CD, MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, AVI, WMV, MOV, Flash (SWF and FLV), iPod, PSP, 3GP, etc.; editor; recorder; CD/DVD ripper; audio, data CD/DVD burner for DVD, VCD, and SVCD; and more.

I’ve actually been having fun just playing with it now for days. The various editing effects are really cool. If you do any sort of conversion or editing of your multimedia files, try this software out. I’m sure you will love it as much as I do!

Dymo Discpainter

OK….I STILL love my lightscribe disk printer. It’s great and, best of all, it’s free.

Sometimes, however, I want to colour print my disks. Well I have found a little gizmo that does just that. It’s the Dymo Discpainter. It prints the label, in colour, directly on the disc. It’s great, it wasn’t overly expensive and I simply adore it!

Put full-disk, full-color images and titles on your recordable discs with the easy-to-use Dymo DiscPainter. It’s fast, too, able to print a full disc in 600dpi in about one minute. How simple is it to use? Just close the lid and print… no labels to line up or hard-to-use trays. The Dymo Discus software includes ready-made canvases and a photo collage tool. Includes one ink cartridge (good for about 100 prints), sample media, USB cable, AC adapter and software on CD-ROM. Requires inkjet-printable recordable discs and either Microsoft Windows XP or MacOS 10.3+.

HP Pavilion Slim s3500f Desktop Computer

Incredible. That is the best word to describe this system. It’s incredibly small and has astounding power. It’s small enough to hold comfortably in your lap yet is as powerful as a massive tower. I’m a stickler for neatness and organization at my desk. This takes up so little space that you hardly notice it. In my case, it’s under the desk, but now I have tons more space.

The system came loaded with the following specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+2.8 GHz, 4GB DDR3, 500GB SATA II, SATA DVDRW-RAM with Lightscribe, Wireless & 10/100 LAN, Vista.

This is well worth the money (and it wasn’t expensive!) and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. This is absolutely the future of desktops: Smaller and more powerful. Get one today at Tiger Direct.

Lite-On 20x Super All Write LightScribe Internal DVD/Dual Layer RW Drive

9 02 2008

I recently upgraded my desktop dvd drive to one with Lightscribe. I had seen the information on it and how the disks looked and wanted to try it myself. I love this! The disks look 1000% better done with lightscribe than with the old paper sticky labels. The only way to improve on this is for them to be able to print in full colour. But for most printing, that isn’t necessary. I have no complaints.
To print a lightscribe disk, you burn the data to the disk in the normal way. The you remove the disk, turn it over and put it back into the drive for the printing. 15-20 minutes later you have a disk like the one pictured. The disks are priced right in line with other blank cd and dvd disks.
